Don’t be a “by-stander”, STAND UP against bullying!
The disABILITY Resource Center takes a strong stand against bullying toward children and adults no matter one’s ethnicity, disability, religion, race, economic status, age, gender, culture, nationality, etc. We strongly promote inclusion; proclaiming that there are no “less than” people. We value one’s worth, individuality and dignity.
Children from diverse minority groups experience bullying at a much higher rate than other children. Bullying occurs in school cafeterias, classrooms, hallways, restrooms, playgrounds, on the bus, etc. It is not to be considered a “growing/maturing experience” for our children. Bullying causes low self-worth, depression, social anxiety and even suicide. It is not to be taken lightly!
